The Incredible Edible Egg on Facebook has reset their .55/2 dozen Eggs coupon , and of course you have to “like” their page to gain access to the coupon . Speaking of Target, I scored a great deal on household items, pet food and groceries today with a variety of coupons that resulted in a $43.00 savings off my bill and I received the $10.00 gift card after spending $50.00 so I already have a credit towards my next trip to Target! Bon Jovi Return to the Stage as Part of GRAMMY Artists Revealed
“Performance occurs rain or shine” stated the Terms & Conditions for those who were lucky enough to obtain a ticket to gain entry to see Bon Jovi at the MasterCard Priceless Los Angeles presentation of GRAMMY Artists Revealed. As evidenced by those who watched the live stream of the performance at the Paramount Studios Backlot in Los Angeles on December 1, 2012, it definitely occurred in the rain.
This fact only bothered fans while waiting for the exclusive performance. Once Bon Jovi hit the stage, the umbrellas were put away and all worries were forgotten. It was their first performance since the last date of the “Bon Jovi” tour in 2011, a fact that was noted by Jon Bon Jovi between songs such as their first number one hit single from Slippery When Wet (a pun referenced by a few fans in the crowd) “You Give Love a Bad Name,” to “It’s My Life” from Crush, and Have a Nice Day’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.” Always a fan favorite, Jon shared lead vocals on “Wanted Dead or Alive” with lead guitarist Richie Sambora and let the audience take over on vocals during the opening verse of “Livin’ On A Prayer.”
Even though Jon mentioned being “one wet motherf****r,” the weather did nothing to slow him down, even with puddles forming on the front of the stage as the night progressed. In fact, while some began to leave after the band blazed through “Bad Medicine” (which included a chorus from The Isley Brothers’ “Shout”), the band came back to perform an encore consisting of a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Run Run Rudolph.” The night ultimately ended with fans singing along loudly on their own to “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.”
If you have a chance, you definitely should catch them on their upcoming “Because We Can” tour in 2013. Tickets are on sale now for most shows via the Bon Jovi fan club and Ticketmaster. The tour kicks off February 9, 2013 in Uncasville, CT at Mohegan Sun.
It should also be noted that the band, with origins in Sayreville New Jersey, has one more performance scheduled as part of the 12-12-12 Concert for Hurricane Sandy Relief. Even if you are unable to obtain a ticket to the show, you can still donate to the Robin Hood Foundation, the beneficiary of the charity concert which will also feature performances by Sir Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Who, Billy Joel, Foo Fighters and Alicia Keys.

Posted by Life on the Scene in Family, Movie Review, Music on October 23, 2012
The 24-year-old musician and her partner Simon Knoecki are said to have welcomed their baby boy last Friday but an official statement is yet to be released.
“Rolling in the Deep” singer Adele confirmed the pregnancy last June on her website in a statement that said, “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me.”
Little else was revealed during the pregnancy other than paparazzi shots snapped of the happy couple in England as they visited doctor’s appointments and prepared for the baby’s arrival shopping for baby clothes and nursery items.
Congratulations to the new family! While Adele enjoys time off with her newly expanded family, fans of the singer can enjoy her latest single, “Skyfall“, from the James Bond movie of the same name or take a trip back to the iTunes Festival London 2011 with the live EP from that concert both recordings available now on iTunes. Skyfall, the movie is in theaters November 9th.
John Taylor In the Pleasure Groove
Posted by Life on the Scene in Book Reviews, Music, Photography on October 23, 2012
Bass Player Live! 2012 hosted Duran Duran‘s John Taylor in an interview with journalist Tom Sykes followed by a reading, Q and A session and book signing in support of his just released autobiography, In the Pleasure Groove: Love, Death and Duran Duran at SIR Studios over the weekend in Hollywood, CA.
From Dutton, “With Duran Duran, John Taylor has created some of the greatest music of our time. From the disco dazzle of debut single ‘Planet Earth’ right up to their latest number one album, All You Need is Now, Duran Duran has always had the power to sweep the world onto its feet.
It’s been a ride – and for John in particular, the ride has been wild, thrilling… and dangerous. Now, for the first time, he tells his incredible story. A tale of dreams fulfilled, lessons learned and demons conquered.
A shy only child, Nigel John Taylor wasn’t an obvious candidate for pop stardom and frenzied girl panic. But when he ditched his first name and picked up a bass guitar, everything changed. John Formed Duran Duran with his friend Nick Rhodes in the summer of 1978, and they were soon joined by Roger Taylor, then Andy Taylor and finally Simon Le Bon. Together they were an immediate, massive global success story, their pictures on millions of walls, every single a worldwide hit.
In his frank, compelling autobiography, John recounts the highs –hanging out with icons like Bowie, Warhol and even James Bond; dating Vogue models and driving fast cars – all the while playing hard with the band he loved. But there were tough battles ahead – troubles that brought him to the brink of self-destruction – before turning his life around.
Told with humor, honesty and hard-won wisdom, and packed with exclusive pictures, In the Pleasure Groove is a fascinating, irresistible portrait of a man who danced into the fire… and came through the other side”
Below is a selection of images from the event.
The book is available now via Amazon in hard cover, paperback and Kindle versions. Barnes & Noble also offers an e-book for Nook and of course Apple offers it for every “i” device known to Duran kind – iTunes, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch. Don’t forget the independent book sellers in your city either! I grabbed my copy from the historic Hollywood book seller, Book Soup. Why not pick a few copies for friends and start crossing items off the Christmas list?
John Taylor continues his promotional tour for the book this week in Los Angeles with additional stops listed below. Don’t miss your chance to have this tale of rock & roll signed by the author himself!
